The five factors

Every dentist is scored from 0 to 10 on five factors. Those scores are then weighted and combined into the single figure you see beside each name. The weightings reflect what matters most when you are trusting someone with irreversible dental work in another country.

Why reviews carry the most weight

For a UK patient who cannot pop back next week, the lived experience of hundreds of previous patients is the single most useful signal available. We weight reviews highest — but we look at consistency, not just volume. A dentist with three thousand reviews that say the same calm, honest things is worth more than one with a handful of glowing testimonials. Why experience is weighted second

Dentistry is a craft, and full-arch and aesthetic work especially so. We reward depth in the relevant specialism rather than raw years alone — a dentist twenty years into general practice does not automatically out-score a focused implantologist with fifteen.

What we deliberately exclude

We re-check review profiles, registrations and patient feedback periodically, and a dentist's position can move if the evidence changes.
